Discover the Thrill of Bungee Fitness: 7 Beginner Moves to Get You Started

If you’ve ever dreamed of flying, defying gravity, or simply breaking out of your typical fitness routine, then Bungee Fitness is perfect for you! At our studio, we offer a beginner class designed to help you tap into your inner sense of adventure while getting an incredible full-body workout. Let’s explore the seven fundamental movements we teach in our beginner class—each one is a step toward feeling weightless, powerful, and free.

1. Squat

Squats are a staple of most workouts, but with bungee support, they take on a whole new dimension. The bungee cord provides just the right amount of resistance, allowing you to sink deeper into your squat while keeping proper form. This move targets your legs, glutes, and core, providing a fantastic foundation for building strength and balance. Plus, the slight bounce makes squats feel lighter and more fun than ever!

2. Dropping

Dropping is a signature bungee move that’s all about letting go. As you lean back and allow the bungee to catch your weight, you’ll experience a thrilling sensation of free fall—like a mini skydiving moment! Dropping builds trust in the equipment and yourself, helps activate your core muscles, and adds an exhilarating twist to your workout.

3. Titanic

The Titanic is one of the most liberating movements in Bungee Fitness. Imagine yourself with outstretched arms, leaning forward, almost like you’re flying over the open sea—just like that iconic movie scene! This move works your core, upper body, and back muscles while giving you an amazing stretch. It’s all about balance and letting the bungee guide you into a graceful glide.

4. Crocodile

Get ready to channel your inner predator! The Crocodile involves holding a plank position while being suspended by the bungee. It’s a full-body workout, focusing on the arms, shoulders, core, and legs. The bungee support helps take some weight off, making the plank feel achievable yet still challenging. As you "crawl" forward, you'll feel your muscles engage in a whole new way—it’s intense but incredibly rewarding.

5. Low Bungee Run

Have you ever wanted to sprint with the lightness of a gazelle? The Low Bungee Run lets you do just that. By leaning into the bungee and running in place, you’ll feel a playful sense of resistance and momentum, almost as if you’re running on air. This movement strengthens your legs, gets your heart pumping, and is an absolute blast—perfect for boosting your cardio endurance while having fun.

6. Knee Up Fly

The Knee Up Fly combines cardio and aerial flair into one dynamic movement. As you drive your knee up towards your chest, the bungee helps lift you off the ground, giving you the sensation of taking flight. It’s a fantastic move for building lower body strength, engaging your core, and adding a bit of graceful air-time to your workout.

7. Twisted Turn

Twisted Turn is where you get to spin and flow with the bungee’s momentum. This move involves turning your body in a controlled twist while the bungee provides gentle resistance, helping you move fluidly. It’s a great way to engage your obliques and improve your sense of balance, while also feeling a bit like you’re dancing in mid-air. The Twisted Turn is all about letting the bungee enhance your movement—embrace the spin and feel the freedom.
